Right in time for Wonder.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on October 20th, bringing with it a reimagined take on the classic 2D platforming that the franchise has become known for. Of course, that might be too long to wait for the next big Mario fix, so if you’re looking to splash the cash, or you’ve been thinking about making an upgrade to the Nintendo Switch OLED models, the Mario Red Edition seems like a great opportunity to do so. Here’s the scoop on how to get your grubby little mitts on one.

Buy the Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition

If you’re looking to pre-order the Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition, you can only do so from the My Nintendo Store in the US at the moment, with the full package retailing at $349.99.

As we get closer to the October 6th launch of the console though, more retailers and regions should become available, and we’ll update this article as and when that happens. Unfortunately, Super Mario Bros. Wonder isn’t included in the package, so if you want to own both, you’ll need to buy them both separately.

About the Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition

The Mario Red Edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED sees the console itself, the Joy-Con controllers and the dock decked out in that iconic colour, which certainly makes for a visually striking version of the Nintendo Switch.

That alone might not be reason enough to recommend the Mario Red Edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED, but there’s a few easter eggs in the overall package to give you that classic Nintendo love and charm. The corner of the dock features a cute little Mario silhouette, while inside the dock, where you plug in all your wires, there’s some hidden coins laid out just like the warp pipe coins in level 1-1 of Super Mario Bros.
