Aluminum is a semi-rare resource in Breathedge that is required to progress through the story.
You can find it on plenty of the big white rocks dotted around the debris in Chapter 1, but you will need a Drill to unearth them. They are silver and can be seen from afar, though you may need to get up close to tell the difference between another resource. The Drill is unlocked as a blueprint very early on for just following the basic tasks that the game gives you early on.
Here’s what you need to make a Drill:

– Refined metal
– Battery
– Thick electrical tape
Once you have a Drill, simply float up a deposit and right click on your mouse to mine the deposit. You should be able to collect three aluminum from each deposit before the supply is exhausted.
Aluminum is required to make both the Enhanced Spacesuit and Helmet, two pieces of equipment that are needed to protect against fatal radiation. You won’t be able to reach Chapter 2 without them.
Breathedge is available now on PC.
