The first DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is packed full of content including new modes, armor, features, and a challenge to test your skills against new enemies. Now you can continue your travels through Hyrule with even more adventures and content to explore.
New modes
There are two new modes: Master Mode and Hero’s Path Mode. Hero’s Path Mode will show you your most traveled places over the last 200 hours that you have played, which will help you to find places that you have yet to discover. Finding the places that you haven’t explored could lead to new adventures and maybe even some new gear or a shrine to be found. Master Mode turns the game into a whole new world where enemies are leveled up by one and regain health. The bad guys will also have higher max levels that will increase the game’s difficulty to see if you have what it takes to conquer the new DLC.
Updated Armor
Throughout Hyrule, there are eight new treasure chests waiting to be explored. Each chest contains new armor based on armour from other Legend of Zelda games. As you travel Hyrule, you will find tips that will lead to the locations of these chests. One chest will contain the Korok Mask that helps to reveal the locations of Koroks in Breath of the Wild. In Hyrule, there are 900 Koroks and while you wear the mask it shakes when you are near one. The Mask should help you to find several Koroks during your travels in Hyrule.
Trial of the Sword Challenge
One of the newest and possibly the most entertaining parts of the new DLC is Trial of the Sword that brings an entirely new challenge to the world of Zelda. In this new challenge, which will take place in a certain sacred location, you will face several waves of enemies one after another. When you start this challenge, Link will begin without weapons or equipment – once all of the enemies are defeated in a room you will advance into the next one. If you can clear all of the rooms (around 45 of them( then the Power of the Master Sword becomes awakened.
The new DLC brings a lot to the table that will bring hours of entertainment for all Breath of the Wild fans out there. With these new features, Zelda enthusiasts will have new content to play and enjoy until the next update will be available.
