Developers Pantaloon have just revealed BOXROOM and, basically, it lets you curate your Steam library into a physical collection. Within the constraints of another video game, but still: very cool.
As they put it:
You can carve out a space, whack in some shelves, a desk, some nice lighting – then go to town curating the physicalised games from your Steam library in an aesthetically pleasing way.
You can then pick any game off a shelf, have a little look inside – imagining that smell of plasticky goodness – and boot it right there and then, should you wish. Just like the good ol’ days.
The trailer:
Can you put BOXROOM inside your room full of boxes? Will Y2K finally kick off?
The game is due to release in Q2 2026, but it has a demo available right now as part of Steam House and Home Fest.
