Another year, another WrestleMania in the bag, and another question to myself over whether it’s all worth staying up until 5 in the morning for. WrestleMania 34 was a truly strange event with stuff that was golden but plenty of matches and moments that were an altogether more brown colour.
Its ranking in the best WrestleManias of all-time is unclear, but it’s unlikely to be a top ten contender for many. The first hour was electrifying and the last hour the total opposite. Perhaps WrestleMania is the last place you should expect to see classic matches from now on as five hours of wrestling is just too much to fit everything in and do it justice, as well as to not eventually bore.
