Next month’s Xbox Games With Gold may not satisfy everyone, but there’s enough quality for August 2017 to more than tide you over.
First up, the endlessly charming Slime Rancher comes to Xbox One for free for the entire month. It’s still in Early Access so expect some hiccups, but it’s a cathartic little game all the same. For the polar opposite experience, the maddening Trials Fusion is available from August 16th to September 15th.
Available on 360 and also Xbox One through backwards compatibility, August 2017’s Games With Gold also brings Bayonetta, which will be available for the first half of the month. It’s something of a cult classic, so pick it up if you haven’t yet. Red Faction: Armageddon is available for the latter part of the month, though you may not quite fall in love with it – let’s just say that it isn’t the best Red Faction game there is.
