BATTLEMODE: DOOM Eternal’s Multiplayer Pits Doomguy Against Two Demons

Face your demons.

Doom Eternal

Bethesda have shared more information about what we can expect from DOOM Eternal’s multiplayer, which will be called BATTLEMODE.

Check out the quick glimpse at it below, which will be a 1V2 experience — not quite what we were expecting.

“Introducing BATTLEMODE, DOOM Eternal’s brand-new 2 versus 1 multiplayer experience built from the ground up at id Software. A fully-armed DOOM Slayer faces off against two player-controlled demons, duking it out over three rounds of intense first-person combat.”

So, one player will take on the role of Doomguy while two others play as demons. Certainly a unique spin on the DOOM multiplayer experience, though you would expect id to almost certainly include a standard deathmatch as well.

DOOM Eternal launches November 22nd for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
