Bandai Namco Publish New Captain Tsubasa: Rise Of New Champions Trailer

It's coming home.

Captain Tsubasa

Football might be back in the UK, but if you ask me, it’s nowhere near as excited as the action on offer in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions. Bandai Namco have published a brand new trailer for the upcoming game, and it looks utterly ridiculous, and yes, I mean that in the best possible way.

The new trailer showcases the two story modes you’ll be able to play. Episode: Tsubasa is a recreation of some of the biggest events in the franchise’s history, as you control Tsubasa in his quest to win the National Championship and beyond. Meanwhile, Episode: New Hero allows you to create your own character, join a prestigious school and experience an all new story where you’re the focal point.

The trailer also offers a look into the International teams that’ll feature in the game as part of the Junior Youth World Challenge. These include Germany, England, Uruguay, USA, France and more. It’s also revealed that up to four players will be able to compete in online matches, which should be a damn sight more entertaining than FIFA. Over-the-top anime visuals make everything better, right?

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will launch on PC, PS4 and the Nintendo Switch on August 28th. Will you be picking it up? Sound off in the comments below.
