Baldur’s Gate 3 Won’t Launch This Month, Release Date Reveal On August 18th

The release date has been waylaid, and must defend itself.

Baldur's Gate 3

Larian Studios have announced that the highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t be launching in Early Access this month like the developer’s originally intended. Instead, Larian will be hosting a livestream later in the month to announce the new release date. Check out the tweet from Larian themselves below.

The Panel From Hell livestream will take place on August 18th at 10am PT / 6pm BST, and will feature appearances from Geoff Keighley, Larian founder Swen Vincke and other members of the Larian team. Crucially, the stream will reveal when the game will be entering Early Access.

While it’ll be disheartening for fans who were hoping to playing Baldur’s Gate 3 this month, the developers have promised that the game is coming soon, so hopefully this delay isn’t anything too extensive. Fingers crossed, you’ll be playing it in September, if you’re lucky anyway. Are you excited for Baldur’s Gate 3? Sound off in the comments below.
