BAFTA Games Awards 2017: Uncharted 4 Wins Best Game, Inside Cleans House

Uncharted 4 has yet another trophy to add to its impressive tally, but it was upstaged last night at BAFTA Games Awards 2017 by a little Polish game that scooped up the most gongs. Inside is one of the best indie games ever made, and last night’s haul just cements that.

Playdead’s noir platformer won for Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Narrative and Original Property. Elsewhere, Firewatch and Overcooked both won two awards.

In his review for Cultured Vultures, Kieran McLoone had plenty to praise about Inside, going on to give it a 9/10:

“Inside is definitely a worthy successor to Limbo, and a mesmerising experience throughout. It takes the platformer genre, and propels it far beyond anything you’ve tried before.”

Kieran also lavished praise on Uncharted 4, giving it one of only three perfect scores for a game since Cultured Vultures began:

“From every single standpoint, Uncharted 4 is the pinnacle of the series, a technical masterpiece, and one of the best games that I’ve ever played.”
