If playing Sea of Thieves has put you in the mood to be a pirate, then we’ve got some good news for you. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be joining the Xbox One backwards compatibility program as of today. Check out the tweet from Major Nelson below:

Though Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is available as an Xbox One release, which was also part of Games With Gold at one point, this is still good news. After the lacklustre Assassin’s Creed 3 failed to set the world alight, Black Flag was a return to form for the series; a return that was promptly buggered by the next game, Unity.

Meanwhile, Divinity II – The Dragon Knight Saga was a definitive version of 2009’s Divinity II – Ego Draconis. The Dragon Knight Saga includes the original game and the expansion pack Flames of Vengeance. In the game, you can switch between the traditional third person RPG gameplay and dragon based aerial combat. Having never played, I’m suddenly quite interested.

What do you think about today’s additions to the backwards compatibility library? Will you be picking either of these games up? Sound off in the comments!
