If you’re currently a Twitch Prime subscriber and are as addicted to Apex Legends as the rest of the platform is, you have a nice gift waiting for you in the form of a free Pathfinder skin and five Apex Packs.
All Twitch Prime subscribers can head over here to connect their Twitch Prime account with their EA account, which will then assign the free goodies to your Apex Legends account — they will become available the next time you log in. You can also find the sign-up from your Prime notifications on Twitch if you are already a member.
If you aren’t a Twitch Prime subscriber, it is included within an Amazon Prime subscription, itself free for its first month. So, even if you aren’t going to use it beyond the first month, you will still have your free goodies.
The Pathfinder skin is a bit of an oddity seeing as how so many of the early cosmetic additions seem to revolve around him, but the Apex Packs will no doubt be appreciated by those who have been frozen out from earning them through natural play because they’re too high a level.
Something very similar happened in the early days of Fortnite when its Battle Royale mode was only just taking off, which contributed somewhat to it going even more stratospheric than it was as every streamer was selling the value of a Twitch Prime subscription. If your mind can stretch that far back (so much has happened in the world of Fortnite since), Ninja made an absolute killing on Twitch Prime alone after the Fortnite and Twitch subscription kicked off. EA are therefore wise to try something similar with Apex Legends, which is already dominating Twitch as it is.
“Even the most jaded of battle royale fans will find their interest rejuvenated by Apex Legends thanks to Respawn’s attention to detail, superior gunplay, and fantastic innovations, though the loot boxes and progression system certainly need addressing.”
