Apex Legends Just Killed Off Its New Character

We hardly knew ye, Not Doomfist.

Apex Legends Pathfinder

In a shock twist, Respawn have killed off Apex Legends’ newest character, James “The Forge” McCormick, who was only recently revealed ahead of Season 4.

The lovely Kansas City Shuffle shows Forge, who looked like a jacked-up J. Jonah Jameson meets Doomfist, sitting down at a TV interview ahead of his entry into the tournament before he is rudely interrupted by Revenant.

The official Apex website has confirmed the Hammond Robotics (which connects Apex to Titanfall even further) representative was killed with a mysterious new Legend set to take his place. At a wild guess, we reckon Revenant will be taking his place. Just a guess.

Apex Forge

Revenant has been shrouded in intrigue since he showed up during the game’s Halloween event, leading many to believe that he would be the next Legend. A few fans were displeased when they thought he wasn’t, but this switcheroo is a very good bit of marketing from Respawn.

Apex Legends Season 4, Assimilation, begins on February 4th. A new weapon called Sentinel will be added to the game, as well as a new Battle Pass. The game is free-to-play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
