Apex Legends Marksman Weapons

Marksman Weapons are a new weapon type added to Apex Legends in Legacy, otherwise known as Season 9.

Functionally similar to Sniper Weapons, Marksman Weapons have a slower rate of fire and hit hard while being best saved to use in mid-long range distances. They are a good middle ground between Snipers and Assault Rifles, and also have increased movement speed compared to snipers while in ADS. On top of that, their hipfire spreads have also been adjusted.

This change was due to the fact that some weapons were in the Assault Rifle category, such as the G7 Scout, but that didn’t really suit them, as well as to fit in with the release of the Bocek Bow. Any weapons that were in a previous category, like the aforementioned G7, won’t be getting a new ammo type with them now in a different category, unlike when the Sniper category was first introduced.

Apex Legends Marksman Weapons List

The following weapons are all of the Marksman Weapons in Apex Legends, along with what ammo they take.

– 30-30 Repeater (heavy rounds)
– Bocek bow (bow ammo)
– G7 Scout (light rounds)
– Triple Take (sniper ammo)

It’s perhaps a little confusing to have so many different ammo types in this category, so we will see what happens over time. It’s also interesting that the Longbow DMR (the ‘m’ stands for Marksman) isn’t included, while the Triple Take is, which feels much closer to being a Sniper.

Which Scopes Do Marksman Weapons Use?

Marksman Weapons in Apex Legends don’t take long-range sniper optics and will instead share scopes with weapons in the Assault Rifles category. This means that the Triple Take will no longer be able to use the 6X Sniper scope.

Apex Legends is a free FPS game available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Switch.
