Crypto, Apex Legends‘ most forgotten son, is finally getting a bit of the limelight this July with his very own Prime Gaming skin.

Prime Gaming subscribers can claim the Dragon skin for Crypto exclusively, meaning that there’s no other way of getting the skin in-game. It may come back to Prime Gaming at some point, though not for a long time if at all.

Prime Gaming costs $119/£79 a year, or $12.99/£7.99 a month, and comes included with an Amazon Prime subscription. You also get free games and tonnes of loot for other games as well.

Here’s how to claim your Crypto Dragon skin in Apex Legends; we’ll stop droning on now.

Where To Sign Up & Claim The Crypto Prime Skin

Here’s a step-by-step guide to Prime Gaming and claiming your skin:

– First off, make sure you claim your loot from the Apex Legends Prime page, double checking that you’re signed in.
– Log in to your EA account to start linking. You should already have one of these from playing Apex.
– Authorise EA’s request to use your Prime account, then accept requests from both EA and Prime Gaming to link them together.
– If all goes well, both your accounts will be linked and you will also be able to claim the Punk Rocket skin from right here.

The most important thing to remember with this is that you are 100% using the right account as you will not be able to transfer your Prime skins as there’s no cross-platform progression in Apex.

When Is The Crypto Skin Available Until?

The Crypto skin will be available from July 8th, 2021.

You have until roughly the first week of August to claim the Crypto skin, at which point it will be rotated out for that month’s free skin.

There will be five more Prime Gaming skins available after this one.

How To Unlock Crypto

Crypto, real name Tae Joon Park, was added to Apex Legends way back in Season 3 and is best used to recon areas thanks to his drone ability.

To unlock Crypto, you need to part ways with 12000 Legend Token or 750 Apex Coins. Legend Tokens are earned by playing the game, while Apex Coins are available in the form of microtransactions.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.
