The Hybrid 2’s Angelico has confirmed the rumours of a major injury keeping him out of the ring, and that we likely won’t be seeing him on television for a while. Angelico tweeted the news of him suffering a torn ACL and meniscus in late 2021, but that his road to recovery is going well and his return could only be just around the corner.

The injury occurred on an episode of Dark following a match against Invictus Khash, keeping himself and his partner Jack Evans off television since the start of 2022. Before that, TH2 were regularly featured as part of the Hardy Family Office, feuding with the likes of Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends.

Angelico is best known for his daredevil antics, performing ridiculously high dives off of ladders and other structures. Although Angelico hasn’t really achieved his peak in AEW thus far, here’s hoping that once his recovery is complete, he’ll be able to show off some of what made him so popular in Lucha Underground on episodes of Dynamite and Rampage.

Angelico’s partner Jack Evans has also been absent from episodes of AEW, last competing on episodes of Dark against the likes of Wheeler Yuta and Dante Martin.
