Alibi and Maestro: Rainbow Six Siege’s New Italian Operators Might Have Leaked

Rainbow Six Siege

The problem with having such a big and evolving game is that some plucky fan is going to dive into your files and have a good root around. That’s just been found to be the case with Rainbow Six Siege as some Reddit sleuths have uncovered what looks like confirmation of the two new Italian Operators coming to the game.

In the files for the game, detectives found a short clip alongside some placeholder text that seemingly confirmed the two new Operators from the Italian special forces: Alibi and Maestro.

A couple of screengrabs if you can’t see the above:

A previous dive by Redditors uncovered some info on abilities with plenty of mentions of using decoys — common sense would dictate that this is what Alibi, the female Operator, will have as her special asset. Heck knows what that means, but it wouldn’t be too outlandish in the scheme of things post-Chimera for her to be able to project a clone of herself or someone else. Sure looks like what’s going on in the portrait.

As for Maestro, little is known, but we do know that he looks like a very happy lad. As he’s smoking a cigar, expect him to be a bit of a monster to play as — all badasses smoke cigars. What does Barrage mean, though? I think the attackers are well covered after Chimera introduced two new ones (the first time it hasn’t been split between both), so maybe he will be similar to the Lord but with frags? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

So, here’s the thing about this leak: it’s happening with alarming regularity over at Ubisoft. Remember how much of Origins came out before it was revealed? I’m beginning to see that all these incidents are controlled leaks to hype stuff up, but it certainly works. I can’t wait to see how these two change up the game.
