Michael Jackson. Queen. All Elite Wrestling. Wembley Stadium has hosted some of the biggest shows to ever take place on the planet, and now Tony Khan’s first-ever wrestling promotion is set to knock WWE out of the park with a staggering 80,000+ gate at London’s greatest venue. Naturally, AEW are pulling out all of the stops to put on a show to remember, and there’s no doubt that some of these matches will go down in history as what will potentially be the pinnacle of AEW’s first decade.
The following nine matches are confirmed to be featured on the All In: Wembley card at time of writing, there are still plenty of wrestlers left to be booked on the card, so it wouldn’t shock me if a few more bouts are added to the card in the coming week.
– MJF (c) vs Adam Cole – AEW World Championship
– FTR (c) vs The Young Bucks – AEW World Tag Team Championship
– Hikaru Shida (c) vs Saraya vs Toni Storm vs Dr Britt Baker DMD – AEW Women’s World Championship
– Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page and Kota Ibushi vs Jay White, Juice Robinson and Konosuke Takeshita
– Chris Jericho vs Will Ospreay
– Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and 3 TBA vs Eddie Kingston, Lucha Bros, Orange Cassidy and Best Friends – Stadium Stampede
– Swerve Strickland and AR Fox vs Sting and Darby Allin – Coffin Match
– CM Punk vs Samoa Joe – ‘Real’ World Championship
– Aussie Open (c) vs MJF & Adam Cole – ROH World Tag Team Championship (Buy-In)
Naturally the biggest talking point of the card is the main event between MJF and challenger Adam Cole (BayBay). Not only will the two pals be facing one another in the show’s epic finale, but they will also compete in a tag match against Aussie Open in the show’s pre-game buy-in. Speculation over who will turn on who has been rampant since these two started their BFFriendship on Dynamite. It’s likely that if there is going to be some form of backstabbing before the title fight, then the Buy-In will be the time to pull the trigger. Either way, these two matches are bound to be the ones to watch.
Elsewhere on the card, Sting will return to the UK for the first time since his TNA run to compete in a tag-team coffin match alongside his mentee Darby Allin. There’s no argument that Sting is having the time of his life building to this match, reviving aspects of his old Joker gimmick that he ran in 2013. I’m certain that this will be a career highlight for ‘The Icon’ and for his partner too.
