With talks heating up about the upcoming release of the next generation of consoles, fans are beginning to worry about which unreleased games might be missing the current generation. Gamers always appreciate enhanced graphics but shelling out $400+ for brand new hardware just doesn’t always make the best financial sense, especially for those trying to game on a budget. Luckily, 343 Industries’ upcoming Halo Infinite will be no such title, according to Halo boss Frank O’Connor.
One concerned fan took to Twitter to ask O’Connor himself about whether or not Infinite would be skipping current gen systems. O’Connor once again confirmed that the Halo team wouldn’t be leaving the Xbox One behind:
I have no idea what leak you're talking about, but Halo Infinite will be released for Xbox One and appropriately spec'd PCs.

Considering the next generation Xbox console(s) hasn’t even been officially announced, it wouldn’t exactly make a lot of sense for Microsoft to get too in depth about Halo Infinite. However, Infinite developer 343 Industries have since confirmed that fans can expect more info on the game at this year’s E3.
The newest addition to the Halo franchise is being called a “spiritual reboot” by Bonnie Ross, the head of the development team. Hopefully, 343 Industries learns from the past blunders of Halo 4 and 5 and craft a game worthy of the Halo name.
Halo Infinite will most likely be releasing at some point in 2020 on Xbox and PC, but I wouldn’t expect an actual release date until when this year’s E3 comes around.
