This could be the best way to start your day as a Community fan: it’s been announced that the cult comedy has been picked up for a new season to be broadcast on Yahoo’s streaming service.
The search engine underdogs looked out for fellow underdogs by swooping in at the last minute to tie up a deal before the actors were all released from their contracts. It’s a strange one, for sure – will anyone really subscribe to Yahoo’s streaming service for Community? Or will we all shamelessly pirate it like before? Ahem.
Creator Dan Harmon: “I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo. I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”
