After the somewhat successful addition of Miramar late last year, PUBG Corp are looking for a more low-scale affair with the new map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. If you’re quick and a little lucky, you could be able to play Codename: Savage as soon as tonight.
Live from 7 PM PT/10 PM ET (3AM for those in Europe) until April 5th, access to Codename: Savage is on a limited basis, apt considering how limited the map itself is. It’s a quarter of the size of the conventional PUBG map and has been designed to make matches quicker and more intimate.
To take part, just go over this way and sign-up. You will need to own the base game, however, which is why it requires Steam authentication.
Here’s all the details:
“This 4x4km Island map is our smallest map to date and will create a much more intense, fast-paced Battle Royale experience. We want to get Codename: Savage in the hands of our players early so that we can get your feedback. With that feedback we can iterate, optimize and make it a great experience for everyone!
“We’re not letting everyone in, and we have a limited number of keys to distribute during our testing phases. Double check the URL for this website to make sure it matches the one we’ve announced. Don’t get scammed! GL HF!”
If you’re successful, you will be then be able to redeem a key to access the map — curiously, there’s no test server this time around.
