Rich Swann claims he is done with the business after venting on Twitter last week.
Less than a month after being released from WWE, the Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion looks set to retire from the ring as issues pertaining to his arrest in December 2017 continue to follow him.
Swann was picked up by police late last year on charges of the false imprisonment and battering of his wife, independent wrestler Su Yung.
Yung dropped the charges before any investigation could be concluded, and Swann and WWE agreed a mutual parting of ways last month.
Maryland-born Swann, 27, found himself with no shortage of offers after his release and was booked for Mexico’s Crash Promotion on March 17, and Tommy Dreamer’s House Of Hardcore card on April 7 during WrestleMania weekend.
Yet as of Thursday, March 8, Swann seems to be done with wrestling.

Su Yung also spoke out on Twitter, asking for their privacy to be respected, claiming that Swann has her full support. A later tweet asks for people to “accept and move forward”.
After training with Combat Zone Wrestling and debuting for the promotion in May 2009, Swann plied his trade worldwide, turning out for companies such as Dragon Gate USA, Evolve, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, CHIKARA, German promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling and a plethora of others across North America and Europe.
Having made his name taking on the likes of Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr, Kevin Owens and Roderick Strong, Swann found himself signed to a development deal with WWE, debuting for NXT in 2014. Mark Henry had persuaded WWE to take a chance on Swann after the hype surrounding him became too big to ignore.
After a star turn in 2016’s Cruiserweight Classic, Swann picked up the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in November of that year before losing it to Neville 61 days later.
Swann was a regular fixture on 205 Live until his arrest and subsequent release.
