In an update to our coverage from last week, Gazillion Entertainment have finally announced that they’re killing off Marvel Heroes Omega a month before the scheduled end date.
In a statement on Twitter, they state that Gazillion Entertainment is shutting down for good and, as such, Marvel Heroes Omega is going with it.

The MMO has spent the last week going through its last death throes, as Gazillion employees took to Twitter to vent their frustrations about losing their jobs just before Thanksgiving. Marvel Heroes Omega looked set to go offline last Friday, but that never came to pass. For whatever reason, it was given a weekend long stay of execution, possibly to give players one last hurrah with the game.
Despite this announcement, there doesn’t appear to be any word on refunds for players/customers who paid for extra characters and the like, but some on Twitter are reporting that Xbox players are in luck.
Just so everyone knows that played and paid on Xbox. There giving refunds, no questions asked. Just call them or even support chat. Thank God I bought everything on Xbox for this game 🙂😌

Whilst we can’t verify this personally, it’s worth chasing it up if you’re looking to be reimbursed. At the very least, it’s good that this whole saga can be put to bed once and for all. Here’s hoping the former Gazillion employees can find work sooner rather than later.
