Gal Godot Gives Warner Brothers An Ultimatum: Ratner’s Out Or She’s Out

Source: People

A source close to Gal Godot recently told Page Six that the actor will not play Wonder Woman again if accused sexual predator Brett Ratner is involved with the sequel in any way. If this is true, Warners is going to have to scramble to find a way out of their financing deal with Ratner, with whom they’re locked into a deal worth $450 million. Although Warners has severed all other ties with the producer / director / accused pervert lowlife who abuses the power he has over vulnerable women who just want to work, backing away from this deal with prove trickier.

Although WB’s deal with Ratner expires in March of next year, his company, RatPac-Dune stands to profit from every Warner Brothers release. The Wonder Woman sequel is already well into pre-production, with a completed script and a shooting date set for next summer. Chances are that Ratner’s company has already been involved in the process. Is there going to be a way to disentangle themselves from a guy who has been accused of masturbating in front of several women, and outing Ellen Page on the set of X-Men: The Last Stand?

They might not any other choice. Gal Godot is Wonder Woman, and the Wonder Woman solo film is edging closer and closer to a worldwide billion-dollar gross. Godot has all the power here, and for once it’s not an abuser calling the shots. A small victory? Perhaps, but it seems a victory nonetheless.
