The Easter weekend has proved to be a difficult one for Overwatch players, as many gamers have found themselves unable to login to the game’s client.
Blizzard acknowledged the disruption on social media with the following tweet:
#Overwatch We are currently investigating reports of login issues. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Ever since the initial server/login issues relating to the release of the Uprising Overwatch event, many players have had trouble with accessing Overwatch, as well as with keeping a secure connection once logged into the game.
Blizzard are aware of the issues, and seem to be working hard to establish secure and stable connections for all players, but that doesn’t help those who are currently unable to login, or those who were kicked from competitive matches during the disruption. The timing is especially bad considering that it’s Easter weekend–a holiday where many gamers were looking forward to settling down for a good few hours of Overwatch between munching on chocolate eggs.
We will update you with more information as soon as there is further word from Blizzard and co. on the state of the server issues.
