The free PlayStation Plus games for March 2017 were leaked last week, though it wasn’t a sure thing. Apparently the spoiler had the right idea the whole time: Tearaway Unfolded and Disc Jam will soon be available for free to PlayStation 4 owners with a Plus subscription.
Tearaway Unfolded is the remaster of the undervalued Tearaway for the PS Vita. It’s a nice blend of old-school platformers with interesting paper mechanics that is absolutely worth checking out. You may fall in love with it without even realising it.
Elsewhere, Disc Jam is being lauded as the next Rocket League as it’s another strange blend of two sports that just shouldn’t work. According to early players, it’s a lot of fun, but only time will tell if it manages to match Psyonix’s phenomenon.
Next up, Lumo is a cross-buy game for the PS4 and Vita. While I personally found it hard to love, others have raved about it. It’s easily worthy of your download, though. Dungeon crawler Severed is available for Vita while PS3 owners can look forward to the impossibly marketable Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late and Earth Defense Force 2025.
The games are available from March 7th. As you might expect, the YouTube community isn’t too pleased, disliking the announcement video in their droves. What do you think?
