It seems like a year and a half ago that we were able to get our clammy paws on the beta for Battlefield 1. Memories of plenty of sand and the most British utterance of “butter” still haunt us in our dreams, but we’re still eagerly looking forward to its release like most of you.
To help promote the game (as if its trailers hadn’t already done enough), EA will be streaming gameplay from the 12th of October until the day of its release on the 21st. The footage will show off all of the game’s maps and plenty of things that we have yet to see.
“We’ll have every map on display, from Sinai Desert to Suez and Ballroom Blitz. Each mode will be played as well, including new entries Operations and War Pigeons. They’ll be played by members of the Battlefield community team, as well as a bunch of special guests.”
You can find the schedule for it here and actually watch the stream over this way. It doesn’t start until tomorrow, so don’t sit glued to your computer until then. Personally, I want to be able to discover all the maps and their nooks and crannies by myself, so I will probably give this a swerve. If you’re a PC player signed up to EA Access, you can actually start playing on the 13th. Additionally, if you pre-order, you can start playing on the 18th.
Battlefield 1 is one of the most anticipated games of the year and possibly the biggest of October, but it certainly isn’t perfect. If you’re feeling a little rusty, check out our tips for how to play the game and we will see you out on the sand. So much sand.
