There’s a good chance that if you currently have a pulse or have had one in the past 100 years, you’ve seen the Star Wars films. They’re an institution, a rite of passage for every young child and a franchise that is showing now signs of slowing down. Hell, they’re probably going to be releasing one every year for the foreseeable future.
Being such a crucial part of popular culture, you can bet that the series has seen more than its fair share of mash-ups, fan edits and homages, with the Rogue One trailer in Lego being the most recent one of note. However, when you combine Star Wars, the smooth opening credits of James Bond, and an unfairly rejected Bond song by Radiohead, you have something that isn’t far from being a work of art.
The work of Kurt Rauffler, supremely talented designer, it perfectly blends the themes of Empire Strikes Back with the visuals of the Bond intros we all know and love. I know it’s easy to wax lyrical about a cool video you found online, but this is worth your attention, whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not.
More please, Mr. Rauffler.
