Frightened Rabbit Release New Song ‘Death Dream’, Announce New Album Title

For Frightened Rabbit fans, the unveiling of new music from the Scottish band is a lot like finding out you’re getting a new dog made of gold who likes to repeat catchphrases from the Lethal Weapon films. Needless to say, it’s pretty fucking great.

It’s been three years since the sublime Pedestrian Verse catapulted the band into the public consciousness with Scott Hutchinson’s solo outing, Owl John (also sublime), being the only thing for fans to latch onto in the intermission.

Now, three years later, the band have released a new song called Death Dream, which will be taken from their new album, Painting Of A Panic Attack. The single contains lyrics which form the title of the album, a similar case to Pedestrian Verse with State Hospital (the first song revealed for PV, but previously available on the EP of the same name).

If PV was the album that helped Frightened Rabbit sell out stadiums, early listens of Death Dream suggest that Painting Of A Panic Attack will be the one that keeps the fans around. I will definitely be pre-ordering the album ahead of its release on April 8th and, even though I might be violently biased, you should do the same.
