Fortnite and Metal Gear Solid fans have been anticipating the release of Solid Snake as the “secret skin” for the Battle Pass since Chapter 5 began, but he’s not the only one sneaking into the game. Raiden will also be dropping as a Fortnite skin during Chapter 5 – Season 1.
Raiden, the surprise protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2, is also making a surprise debut in Fortnite this season, and will take on the Skull Suit style that he worse on his debut in Big Shell. Many fans are probably hoping for his Metal Gear Rising form as well, but for now his Sons of Liberty guise will do until Jack is back.

Fortnite Metal Gear Raiden Skin
As mentioned, Raiden will be in his Metal Gear Solid 2 style when he lands in the Fortnite Item shop. He will also have the diving mask that he uses to swim into Big Shell as a second style.
Players will also be able to get their hands on the Kinetic Blade pickaxe and Back Bling as part of the bundle, with a wrap also up for grabs.

It must be said, as someone whose favourite game of all time is Metal Gear Solid 2, I’m not sure they quite hit the target with this Raiden skin. Not only is the Skull Suit much more like leather than in the game, but facially he’s just not really the same — I think it’s the eyes.
Fortnite Metal Gear Raiden Skin Price
Raiden costs 1800 V-Bucks when bought from the Fortnite Item Shop, as his HF Blade Back Bling is also included.
Just to note: only Solid Snake is available with the Battle Pass, Raiden is a separate purchase with V-Bucks.

Fortnite Metal Gear Raiden Skin Release Date
Raiden debuted in the Fortnite Item Shop at shop reset on January 24th, 2024. There is no suggestion on when he will be available until, but likely until the end of the season.
