Tequila Works’ GYLT Is Finally Escaping Stadia This July

GYLT

Google’s Stadia wasn’t exactly known for its wide raft of exclusives (or, really, known for much of anything by its end), but it did have GYLT. Something of a hidden gem (because it was exclusive to Stadia and now Stadia is completely unusable), the eye-catching horror is now finally coming to other platforms.

Tequila Works have announced that GYLT will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S on July 6th, 2023, but no news on a Switch port. There’s also no info yet on if there’s anything extra with these ports, or if it will be coming physically as well as digitally. You can check out the trailer above.

From the press release:

“Set in a creepy and melancholic world, GYLT is an eerie story mixing fantasy and reality in a surrealist place where nightmares become real. Hide from terrible creatures or choose to confront them as you find your way through the challenges of this wicked world. Players will embark on a journey where they face their worst fears and are confronted with the emotional impact of their actions.”

GYLT is free. GYLT-free, if you will. But there are other games exclusive to Stadia that may never again see the light of day. There’s no news on Pac-Man: Mega Tunnel Battle, Outcasters, or Pixeljunk Raiders coming to other platforms, though Hello Engineer has since come to Steam.

While you’re waiting for GYLT to finally appear on other platforms, be sure to also check out The Sexy Brutale from Tequila Works, a supremely underrated puzzler where you have to relive the same day over and over in a casino mansion and figure out a series of murders.
