Super Rare Games have announced that they’re partnering with Humble Bundle once again alongside Idoz & Phops to release a physical version of the top-down bullet-hell RPG Archvale for the Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders starting next week on the Super Rare Games website.
Archvale is a bullet-hell RPG that sees players exploring the prisons of a former king who was renowned for his cruelty, but only two things remain from his tyrannical rule. Firstly, the king cursed hordes of beings to wander his prisons as the Undying, and secondly, there’s a lost archway that leads to a whole new realm of wonder. Naturally, it’s up to you to cut through the Undying and find your way to the world of Archvale.
Players augment their build using a host of badges, and can craft over 200 pieces of weapons and armour, allowing you to fully customise your abilities, which is necessary of course. With so many enemies and levels to beat, along with the sheer amount of bullets on screen at any one time, you’ll need to be at the top of your game if you ever want to reach Archvale.
As with all Super Rare Games releases, the physical Archvale release includes all the game’s content on the Nintendo Switch cart, a full colour manual, special artwork on the inside of the cover, an exclusive Super Rare Games sticker, and a set of trading cards. Only 4000 copies will be printed, and they’re set to go on sale on April 14th at 10am PDT/1pm EDT/6pm BST.
