Hot off the announcement last week that Super Rare have created their own indie-first publishing label, Super Rare Originals, which aims to bring indie games to PC and consoles, today they’ve revealed the release date of their first game, Grapple Dog.
Grapple Dog, which is being developed by Medallion Games, will be launching on PC and the Nintendo Switch eShop on February 10th, allowing players to experience the thrill of grappling through levels as a cute pupper. There’s even a light sprinkle of dog petting to boot, because Medallion Games clearly know what the people like.
As Pablo, the Grapple Dog, the game sees players sailing across 6 unique worlds with 33 levels in total. Each level is filled with hidden collectibles, secret areas, huge boss fights and even a few bonus levels to boot. Players will use their grapple hook to traverse through the levels, swinging to gain both height and momentum while dodging the various obstacles that are lying in wait.
Grapple Dog promises a host of modes that help ensure there’s something for everyone. Those who love reaching 100% completion in their platforming games will find a host of collectibles to gather, while speedrunners can dig into the time trial mode. There’s also plenty of accessibility options that will allow players to enjoy the game in their own way.
