Sure, yeah. This seems like fun.

Super Mario Bros. 35

After the runaway success of Tetris 99, Nintendo have decided to give the same treatment to the original Super Mario Bros., creating Super Mario Bros. 35, a battle royale-inspired take on the classic platformer. It’s coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 1st, and you can see the trailer for yourself below.

As you can guess from the headline, it’s Tetris 99 but Mario, as 35 players run try to survive in a version of Super Mario where other players can interfere with each other. Defeated enemies will be sent to other players, and you can try to implement different tactics to eliminate other players as quickly as possible.

Like Tetris 99, Super Mario Bros. 35 will be available to play for free as part of your Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but it’ll only be available to play until March 31st, 2021, which is when the also announced Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle will be removed from sale.
