Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 Raises $3.13 Million For Prevent Cancer Foundation

Games Done Quick, the biannual event which sees speedrunners from around the world gather to showcase their skills and raise money for charity, has just concluded its most recent event, Awesome Games Done Quick 2020, which celebrated its 10th anniversary. The event was a huge success, raising $3.13 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The event’s previous record for donations came during 2019’s Summer Games Done Quick event, where the community was able to raise just over $3 million. AGDQ 2020 also set a record for most unique donations, with over 54,000 total donations hailing from over 80 different countries.

Since 2010, Games Done Quick has managed to raise an astonishing $25 million for a host of different charities, including Doctors Without Borders, AbleGamers, and Organization for Autism Research, and there’s no signs of the event slowing down. The next event, Summer Games Done Quick 2020, will run from June 21st-28th, while Awesome Games Done Quick will return in 2021 from January 3rd to January 10th.
