Indie headliner Johnny Impact/Mundo/Morrison/Hennigan has re-signed with his home-turf of WWE after an eight-year absence. The former mid-card star known as John Morrison parted ways with the company back in 2011, after being given too much meagre booking that was hurting his credibility.
The Californian hot-shot hit the independents and made a name for himself as part of Lucha Underground, PWG and later on as part of the re-emerging Impact Wrestling. Morrison has won a hearty amount of championship gold on the indies, but after a minor stint in Hollywood, it seems he’s ready to return for another crack at the big leagues.
John Morrison will be a welcome return, but there’s currently no word as to where exactly he’ll end up. Considering the veteran is still in peak physical condition, there’d be no qualms with him breaking back into the main-roster scene, but I’m sure nobody would argue with him mixing it up with the likes of Adam Cole, Matt Riddle and Johnny Gargano down on NXT.
Morrison will surely make waves wherever he ends up when he returns to WWE in the coming months. Where would you like to see him bring his flash and flair and who should his first feud be with? Let us know in the comments below
