There’s A Zombieland Video Game Coming To All Platforms

Sure, why not?

Zombieland: Double Tap

There’s a Zombieland video game coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch. Yeah, that Zombieland. Honestly, it’s kind of shocking it didn’t happen sooner, but here we are. The game is called Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip, and will take place between the first and second film.

Developed by High Voltage Software, Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip is a top-down, twin-stick shooter where you control one of the four main protagonists – Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock – as they gun their way through hordes of zombies. The official press release also promises unlockable characters from the upcoming second film, though if they don’t add zombie Bill Murray as a playable character, this game isn’t worth the money it’ll cost.

Players will have access to special abilities, and the Zombieland “rules” like Double Tap will also come into effect, though it’s not clear how right now. There will be a story-based Campaign mode, a horde mode along with daily and weekly challenges. There’s also an objective to find twinkies, so at least you know it’s the authentic experience.

Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch on October 15th, 2019, 3 days before Zombieland: Double Tap hits theatres, so if you really want to make sure you’re all clued up on the lore of Zombieland, make sure you pick up the game beforehand.
