UPDATE: Bayonetta And Vanquish Remasters Coming To Xbox One, PS4

Let's dance, boys!

Bayonetta

UPDATE (09/12/2019): It’s been confirmed that the Bayonetta and Vanquish 4K remasters are real, and they’re coming to both the Xbox One and PS4. Naturally, you’ll need to have an Xbox One X or PS4 Pro to experience 4K, but we’re still happy to see two of Platinum’s best games on the current generation of hardware. The bundle will launch on February 18th, 2020, though you can purchase both games separately. Check out the announcement tweet below.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: According to TrueAchievements, 4K 60fps remasters of two of Platinum Games’ most popular titles will be making their way to the Xbox One: Bayonetta and Vanquish. Both games will be available as part of a double pack, or to purchase separately, and were revealed due to a Microsoft Store link going live early.

The two games will be re-released as part of a 10th Anniversary Bundle, with 4K graphics and 60fps enhancements available for Xbox One X owners. Both games and the bundle are scheduled to release on February 18th, 2020, though no other details have been revealed regarding the re-releases. We don’t even know if the new versions of these games will be making their way to PS4, PC or even Stadia.

The original Bayonetta is currently available to play on the Nintendo Switch, along with its sequel, while both games are currently backwards compatible on the Xbox One. That said, it’d be nice to experience these games running at their absolute best, so to speak, so consider me pretty hyped for this one, should it be real anyway. Expect an announcement in the next week or so, probably during The Game Awards.
