4 Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass, Including Shadows Of The Damned

Okay, this one is strange.

As is always the way with Xbox Game Pass, the announcement of new games has meant that we’ll have to say goodbye to others. Microsoft have put out a blog post to confirm the four games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in February.

So What’s Being Removed From Game Pass?

Okay, so technically 3 games are being removed from Game Pass, while the 4th is being removed from EA Play and subsequently Game Pass. On February 15th, De Blob and Ninja Gaiden 2 will be removed from Xbox Game Pass for Console, while World of Horror will be taken from the PC library. A day later, on February 16th, Shadows of the Damned will be removed from EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate.

An EA Play Game Being Removed?

Yeah, this is a strange one, and it’s been a learning experience for me when writing this news post. It turns out that that Shadows of the Damned was delisted back in July of last year, after EA’s 10 year publishing deal with Grasshopper Manufacture had lapsed.

Weirder still, the game was relisted about a week or so after this incident, but once a game gets delisted then resurrected, it’s usually just a matter of time before they’re gone again. You can still buy the game through the Microsoft Store, meaning you can ensure you own the game before February 16th, and once owned, you can play the game as much as you want. Personally, I wouldn’t say no to some kind of update. We could even follow the Scott Pilgrim rules and get Limited Run in for a physical version.
