Yoshimitsu Confirmed For Soulcalibur VI

Soulcalibur VI

Bandai Namco have confirmed the latest character to join the ever-growing Soulcalibur VI roster: the mechanical ninja Yoshimitsu. Given how he’s been involved with the series since the original Soulcalibur, it was pretty much expected to see the sword wielding weirdo make a return.

It’s interesting to note that this news appears to have been published ahead of time, appearing on PlayStation’s Social Media before being pulled. The cat is out of the bag now though, so expect a proper reveal later on at some point.

Yoshimitsu, like most of the returning characters in Soulcalibur VI, retains a lot of his moves from previous games, including the helicopter spin and that odd spin move. He’s got some new moves though, including a helicopter spin assisted hurricanrana and a sweet looking Critical Edge.

The trailer still doesn’t confirmed the supposedly leaked release date on September 27th that appeared on Amazon Italy, sticking with the vague 2018 release window. Perhaps we’ll hear more at E3 next month.

We’ve put together a list of the things you should know about Soulcalibur VI, and we’ll be sure to add Yoshimitsu to that. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments.
