RUMOUR: Soulcalibur VI Could Be Released This September

Soulcalibur VI

It’s fair to say that your boy is really excited for Soulcalibur VI to come out, but if a listing from Amazon Italy is to be believed, we won’t have to wait long for the new release.

Naturally, take all this with a pinch of salt because Bandai Namco haven’t confirmed anything either way yet, but the listing from Amazon Italy has Soulcalibur VI coming out on September 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. That’s less than 5 months away, which means we’ll have our grubby mitts on the game sooner rather than later if true. We’ve got our fingers crossed that it’s true, but it’s just as possible that this is a mistake on the part of Amazon. We won’t know until we get an official announcement.

Soulcalibur VI

Soulcalibur VI is being pitched as a sort of reboot for the series, taking the story back to the days of the original game. The characters already announced include Mitsurugi, Sophitia, newcomer Groh, Nightmare, Kilik, Xianghua, Ivy, Zasalamel, Siegfried and Geralt from The Witcher as a guest character. No Maxi yet, but we’re hopeful.

We had chance to play a build of the game back in February, and we fell in love with the game almost instantaneously. Check out what we thought right here:

Despite the fact I may have neglected some of the other games on offer, I have no regrets. In fact, I’m excited to see more of this game has to offer. The potential is there for Soulcalibur VI to be one of the best games in the series. Not the best though. Soulcalibur II had Link, remember? That one is the best by default.
