XCOM 2 Headlines June 2018’s PlayStation Plus PS4 Games

The white hot streak for PlayStation Plus games continues into June 2018 with another stellar line-up. It might not be quite as good as Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank in the same month, but June brings heartache and bone breaks in equal measure.

XCOM 2 is a turn-based game that will make you uncomfortably familiar with a squad of digital idiots. You lead the resistance against an alien invasion and must fight your way to freedom, while also trying not to cry as your team members get gunned down one-by-one after missing their shots from a centimetre away. Don’t worry: save scumming is more or less accepted if you play XCOM 2.

Next up, the made-for-YouTubers Trails Fusion is a platform-racing game that will make you scared to get on your bicycle ever again. It’s made for competitive gamers, but also for those that want to vent all their frustrations in a game world instead of in real-life. Not getting the promotion? Play Trials Fusion and scream your anguish away.

People expecting out-of-this-world announcements to coincide with E3 2018 may be left disappointed, but the two headliners are still great games worth checking out. There’s no “release date” for these new games, but look to June 1st; the same day of the month when May’s games dropped, or June 5th, which is the first Thursday of June.
