Xbox One Is Getting A New “Do Not Disturb” Feature

Xbox

The team over at Microsoft are always looking to improve the user experience for Xbox One owners, and a recent update rolling out to Insider Program members will add a “Do Not Disturb” feature that’ll let people know when – well, when you don’t want to be disturbed. Obviously. Now you won’t have to appear offline to let your friends know you’re being anti-social.

The feature is essentially the same as the Xbox 360’s Busy mode, which silences all incoming notifications and lets friends who view your profile know that you’re unavailable for games, probably because you’re binge watching something on Netflix. The feature should also be good for content creators and Twitch streamers, as notifications won’t appear on recordings and your friends will know to leave you alone.

The update includes a couple of other new features too, such as the ability to view your closest achievements through the Guide Menu. It can be found under the widget Next Achievements, and you can filter upcoming unlocks via rarity, value or just by how close they are. It’s a good system for lazy achievement hunters, looking for the next quick addition to their gamerscore.

Lastly, the Mini Game Hubs widget will give you more information about the games you play, the achievements you can unlock and if there are any Looking For Group posts without having to open up the full screen version. All together, you’ve got plenty of decent quality of life updates that should make using the Xbox One even better.
