Your Xbox One Should Now Download Stuff Up To 80% Quicker

Xbox One

I’ve had an Xbox One for a couple of months now and despite the occasional hang-up on Netflix, it’s a pretty well oiled machine, including where downloads are concerned. But there’s no harm in making it even better.

In preparation for the onslaught of new players over the Christmas period, OS version 10.0.14393.2152 brings with it a meaty benefit for picking up an Xbox One: download speeds for games and apps could be up to 80% quicker.

To qualify, you have to have a speed of more than 100 Mbps for 80% quicker speeds, but for everyone else, expect to see roughly a 40% hike in download speed, which is still better than nothing.

The new update will also stabilise connections all round and try to put a stop to intermittent issues while downloading stuff in the background. That’s a lifesaver – the Xbox One always has a lot going on behind the scenes. The update should be available as soon as you boot up your Xbox (he says, praying).
