Xbox Live Takes Aim at PlayStation Network in Weird NFL Advert

What is this.

In a very odd and out of place advert, Xbox have made the claim that their Xbox Live service is the only one that won’t let you down, hitting back at PSN’s often poor and patchy online play.

Using the claims from a third-party about how Xbox Live is more reliable than PSN, the advert stars the NFL’s Marshawn Lynch as an assistant. It’s a bit cringeworthy, but the advert just about works.

The joke is on Microsoft, though: imperfect online connections or not, the PS4 continues to outperform the Xbox One in sales consistently. That being said, the Xbox One has had a pretty great 2016, so maybe 2017 will close the gap that little bit more.

If you’re looking to pick up either console this Christmas, they’re filthy cheap, so there’s really no better time.
