Xbox Game Pass Will Lose 21 Games At The End of May

Xbox Game Pass

Xbox always promised that the Game Pass service would be an evolving one, and games would be rotated in and out on a regular basis, but this is a big one. It’s been revealed that 21 games will be leaving the subscription service at the end of May. Though 19 out of 21 of these games are Xbox 360 titles available via backwards compatibility, that’s still a significant chunk of games being phased out.

The full list of game are as follows:

  • Blood Bowl 2 (Xbox One)
  • Defense Grid 2 (Xbox One)
  • Age of Booty
  • Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2
  • BioShock (Xbox 360)
  • BioShock 2 (Xbox 360)
  • BioShock Infinite (Xbox 360)
  • Borderlands
  • Bound by Flame
  • de Blob 2 (Xbox 360)
  • Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
  • Dig Dug
  • Final Fight: Double Impact
  • NeoGeo Battle Coliseum
  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
  • Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
  • Sacred 3
  • SEGA Vintage Collection: Alex Kidd & Co.
  • SEGA Vintage Collection: Golden Axe
  • SoulCalibur
  • XCOM: Enemy Within

Whilst this is a big loss for the service, especially with games like Borderlands and the Bioshock trilogy, the fact remains that Xbox Game Pass still has plenty to offer, including Laser League which came out today, Sea of Thieves, Robocraft: Infinity and the upcoming State of Decay 2 to name just a few. This could also be an indication that Xbox are gearing up for a big announcement for June. Yes, that is wishful thinking, well spotted.
