WWE Confirms Even More Big Names For RAW 25th Anniversary

Raw 25th anniversary

WWE has confirmed that Chris Jericho and a host of former women’s division stars will be joining in the celebrations to mark 25 years of Monday Night RAW.

‘RAW 25′ is already shaping up to be a stacked supercard of a show and another announcement made this week shows the company are not taking any chances when it comes to luring in fans with sheer star power.

WWE has already confirmed that Steve Austin, Undertaker, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, the Outsiders, Acolytes, Dudley Boyz and D-Generation X will be appearing on the January 22nd show.

But the latest raft of names is an indication that WWE are keen to emphasise the contributions of their women wrestlers and performers, even if the days of Evening Gown and Pudding Bowl matches may be quietly shoved aside and forgotten in the process.

Chris Jericho is making his first return to WWE since taking another extended absence that began during 2017.

In that time he took Fozzy on a world tour before staking the earliest claim to the Match Of The Year 2018 by way of his incredible bout with Kenny Omega at New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 12.

As well as the Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla, WWE will be bringing back the likes of Jacqueline, Terri Runnels, Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool, the wife of Undertaker.

Maria Kanellis will be shifted to RAW from SmackDown Live for the night, while longtime jobber Brooklyn Brawler will return for the first time since his surprise release from the company in 2016.

With RAW 25 being the go home show for this year’s Royal Rumble, WWE is bringing back some of its more prominent past female talent to emphasise the first Women’s Royal Rumble that will be taking place at the Pay-Per-View.
