If the simulation-heavier aspects of the mainline WWE 2K series has got you feeling a little fatigued, then you’re in luck. 2K have teamed up with Saber Interactive to release WWE 2K Battlegrounds on all major platforms today (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia). To be fair though, even if you’re not fatigued with normal WWE games, it’s not like you’re getting WWE 2K21. Better settle for Battlegrounds. Check out the trailer below.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a throwback to the more arcade feel of wrestling games, with over-the-top visuals and animations that are reminiscent of games like WWE All-Stars. Honestly, if Battlegrounds is even half as good as All-Stars, it’s going to be a bit of a banger, especially if you’ve got the friends to play it with.

Battlegrounds will include a deep roster of 70 wrestlers, from current day superstars to classic legends, along with a varied set of match types and a Story Mode that sees players creating their own character to take on the world. Will you be picking up WWE 2K Battlegrounds? What platform will you be playing on? Sound off in the comments below.
