Wolfenstein: Youngblood Releases This July

And it's out on the same day for Switch!

Youngblood

If you’ve been wondering what’s going on with everyone’s favourite Nazi-killing franchise, you don’t have much longer to wait. Wolfenstein: Youngblood releases on July 26th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

A co-op, open adventure in which you play as BJ’s twin daughters, Jess and Soph (also known as the Terror Twins), you must track down the man himself after he goes missing.

A new trailer was also released to coincide with the news.

Welcome to the 1980s. BJ Blazkowicz is missing. His last-known whereabouts: Nazi-occupied Paris. The only ones who can find him are his twin daughters, Jess and Soph Blazkowicz—and no Nazi scum are gonna stand in their way.

Liberate Paris from the Nazi threat as you search for your father in the first open-ended co-op adventure in the series, either with a friend or an AI companion.

Interestingly, you can buy a “Buddy Pass” with the Deluxe Edition of the game so that your friend can play for free without owning the game themselves. It’s like what happened with A Way Out, just not for free or as good.

Here’s a bunch of screenshots too:

MachineGames return to develop this one, but it looks like they have the help of Arkane of Dishonored and Prey fame. It will launch on Steam instead of just the Bethesda launcher, as mentioned by the publisher earlier in the week.

It’s interesting that it’s launching day one on Switch, too: most Bethesda conversions have come about a year or so after launch on other platforms.

What are your thoughts on Youngblood? I just need to find the song they used, pretty sure it’s buried deep in one of my sythwave playlists.
