A lot of action RPGS like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty really flourish when played with friends, with many memories being made as you take down what felt like an impossible task with an ally by your side. However, the downside of two players sharing the same online space means that it’s hard to developer a way for player’s to pause, so can you do that in Wo Long?
The answer is no, you cannot pause the game in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, even when playing solo and in offline mode. You can bring up your action menu, but this doesn’t pause any of the action around you, leaving you vulnerable.
Instead, the best way to take a breather in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is to plant a Battle Flag and then rest at it, as you will be invulnerable to attacks (or at least we always were). Here, you can also level up your character, set your divine beasts, and even use fast travel to get other areas.
It’s a bit of a weird situation that you can’t ever go truly offline and pause the game in Wo Long, especially when you could in Elden Ring. Hopefully it’s something that Team Ninja can look into for a future update.
